Emery Bathroom

This small bathroom with lots of character was cramped by a sink cabinet that was too large for the space. A quirky, complexly-curved plaster ceiling in the shower was suffering water damage. The owners didn't feel they could use the room as comfortably as they wished. Replacing fixtures helped free up floor space, new finishes brightened things up, and in-floor heat made the space feel cozy underfoot. The shower ceiling's shape was preserved, but tiled with penny tile that could follow its contours and stand up to the moisture of steamy showers.
